Ripstop fabrics are a type of woven fabric that uses a reinforcing technique to make them resistant to tearing and ripping. To achieve this, reinforcement yarns are interwoven in a crosshatch pattern at regular intervals during the weaving process. The turnout comes with no insulation but the Stay-dry fleece lining adds warmth as well as acting like a cooler when placed on a damp or wet horse. The Stay-dry lining helps to wick the moisture from the horse’s skin and helps to dry the horse faster.
