Each one is unique, made from assorted, co-ordinating fabrics and pale wood, a unique look that can fit in with many styles. Approx 8-9cm across Community Crafts is a social development organisation and their primary aim is to improve the lives of destitute rural women in Saidpur, northern Bangladesh. They provide job opportunities and support so they can afford to send their children to school. Most of their products are almost exclusively made from three types of environmentally sustainable materials: jute, cotton & other recycled fabric – usually sarees. They aim to adhere to fair trade principles by ensuring that we pay our producers a fair wage, protect the environment by using ecologically sound materials and are transparent and accountable to both our producers and buyers.
