04-12 Chevy Colorado Crew Cab Sub Box Sealed This is a Chevy Colorado Crew Cab Sub Box for the 2004-12 trucks. The Chevy Colorado Crew Cab has become a very popular truck but is seriously lacking in room for stereo equipment. This design fits under the rear seat but just barely. The front legs must be unbolted from the floor, the box slid into place and then the legs reinstalled. It is a very tight fit but it still works. Mounting depth is very limited so shallow mount subs are pretty much a must unless you are interested in 8” subs, and grills are recommended. Available as an option is the use of my metal backing plates as a rear bump of the box to gain you another 3/4″ of depth. This is a sealed subwoofer box. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported box is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. If big bass is what you want then our ported box will be what you want. This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
