2001-2005 Ford Explorer Sport Trac Sub Box Upfire Sealed This is a Ford Explorer Sport Trac sub box for the 2001-05 year model trucks. ­The 2001-05 Ford Explorer Sport Trac was a new concept for SUVs and trucks with the combination of an SUV cabin with the practicality of a truck bed. The Sport Trac was designed to be an off-roadish vehicle with tons of storage compartments. All this storage meant that there was very little room for stereo systems. Since the space behind the rear seat is taken up with storage compartments, the only way to fit anything in is to slip something under the rear seat. This design is for a single up fire 8” or 10” sub with only 0.4cuft with 4 7/8” of mounting depth. This is a small airspace but it’s still puts out a much needed bottom end to your stereo. This is a sealed subwoofer box. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. If big bass is what you want then our ported box will be what you want. This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
