2015-20 GMC Yukon Sub Box Downfire Sealed Large Third Row ­The 2015-20 GMC Yukon, with its third-row seat, has a lot more room for subs than the previous model SUV and this box is made to take up as much of that space as possible. This GMC Yukon Downfire Sub Box Third Row Seat design is for those who want the bass while keeping the third-row seating. It has a maximum airspace of 5.02cuft with nearly 12” of mounting depth, based on a 7″ diameter magnet. Any number of subwoofer combinations can be made to fit what you want in the back of this SUV. There can be four 8s or 10s even three 12s will fit in this downfire box to maximize the output while limiting lift gate rattle. Even 13.5s will fit with ease. Lots of space for some big output. This box is designed to take up the most space for people who want big bass, so the cargo bin needs to be removed for the box to fit correctly. If your truck has the power folding rear seats, there is a control module under that bin that will need to be relocated. If you don’t want to relocate that module, then look at our boxes that fit on top of the cargo bin. If you want to keep some sort of storage then the best compromise is to keep it tall and narrow, so feel free to contact us with special requests. We also offer this box in a ported design. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported box is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. If big bass is what you want then our ported box will be what you want. This box is made of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel-plated spring-loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
