2010-13 Kia Soul Sub Box Rearfire Ported This is a 2010-13 Kia Soul sub box. I have two different versions of boxes for this car. This is the traditional rear firing box that slips up against the rear seat and fires the subs towards the rear hatch. This box was made as wide and tall as possible to keep the depth as shallow as possible. Since this box is only 11 deep, hardly any storage space is compromised. This design is 2.34cuft of airspace with a mounting depth of 6 1/8” and is perfect for three 8s, a couple of 10s or one 12. The box comes finished in a black subwoofer box carpet that matches the cargo floor and is easy to keep clean and maintain. The wire terminals for the subwoofers are nickel plate spring loaded terminals and have the speaker wires soldered onto them. The box isn’t very large so the amplifier can be mounted underneath a front seat and the box can be removed if the full cargo space needs to be used. The subwoofer box is made of 3/4″ MDF for the best is sound and strength. The stronger the box, the better the bass. If you require the box to be bigger and are not concerned about the cargo space, feel free to contact us and we will be glad to make you a custom box. This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want. This is our ported design. This design is for maximum airspace and the airspace of the box can be reduced if desired. Our ported boxes are designed according to your subwoofer’s specifications. No two boxes will really be alike.
