2014-18 Kia Soul Sub Box Cargo Tray This box is for the 2014-18 Kia Soul. I have two different versions of boxes for this car. Like the 2010-13 Kia Souls, there is a large foam storage bin under the cargo floor. To me that is the absolute best place to drop a sub box in. This design is a direct replacement for the factory storage bin and is a downfire box that fires the subs into the spare tire well. This will give you excellent output and no lack of cargo space in the hatch. The factory floor will still go back into place and no one will know that there are subs back there until you turn it up. This box is 1.96cuft of airspace with a mounting depth of 5 1/8” which can be bumped up to 5 7/8″ with my steel bump plates for those who need something deeper. This box works great for a couple of 8s, a single 10 or 12. If I do 8s, I do a common airspace instead of separate chambers just so they see a bit more airspace. So, if there is anything special you would like feel free to let me know and I will make it for you. This is a ported subwoofer box. Ported subwoofer boxes are for customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy as a sealed box, but there is double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs. A sealed subwoofer box has a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. If tight, punchy bass is what you want then our sealed box will be what you want. This is our ported design. This design is for maximum airspace and the airspace of the box can be reduced if desired. Our ported boxes are designed according to your subwoofer’s specifications. No two boxes will really be alike.
