1999-2016 Ford Super Duty Super Crew Sub Box Sealed This is a Ford Super Duty Super Crew Sub Box for the 99-2016 F250 and F350 trucks. Ford Super Duty Super Crew F-250 and F-350 trucks don’t have a lot of options. Behind the rear seat space is at a premium and under the seat isn’t an option. The 1999-2004 truck did not have a rear power window as an option or a center shoulder seat belt, so the boxes are 60.5×16.25×7.375 with 1.97cuft total air space. Some traditional 8” or 10” subs will work but shallow mounts would be a better option for 10s and a must for 12s. The regular mounting depth is around 5 1/4″ for 10s without the metal backing plate and about 6” with. The newer model Super Duties that do not have a power rear window will work and if you really want the bass, the shoulder seat belt can easily be cut out on the 08 and up trucks if that is what you are after. If your truck has the shoulder belt and power window, this box will not fit. This is a sealed subwoofer enclosure. Sealed subwoofer enclosures have a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and truer to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported enclosure is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is typically double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs and power. If big bass is what you want, then our ported designs will be what you want. This box is made from 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in matching carpet. The nickel-plated spring-loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection.
