2017-up Ford Super Duty Super Crew Sub Box Sealed Stage 1 This is our new Ford Super Duty Super Crew Sub Box. The all new 2017 Ford F250 and F350 Super Duty Super Crew has quite a bit more room under the back seat of their new Super Crew trucks than their previous models. There still isn’t a ton of room under the seats, but it is an improvement over the previous model. This design is a down fire box to get the best acoustics out of the truck and to get the most practical use of space. This enclosure is 1.75cuft total which is great for a mix or shallow 8s, 10s or 12s. Mounting depth is limited to about 4 3/4″ for 10s and 4 1/2″ for 12s. If our steel back plates are used then you get about 5 1/2″ for 10s and 5 1/4″ for 12s, so shallow mount subs are almost necessary. This design has 2″ of clearance between the face of the box and the floor for increased subwoofer clearance and to help with output. This box is made out of 3/4″ MDF and is fully carpeted in your choice of carpet. The nickel plated spring loaded speaker terminals are mounted on the back of the box and the speaker wires are soldered on for a solid and reliable connection. This is our Stage 1 Enclosure and is fully carpeted. Our Stage 2 option gives you more of a custom touch to your enclosure. This is a sealed subwoofer enclosure. Sealed subwoofer enclosures have a tight and punchy bass that is more articulate and more true to the music with a more natural sound. For customers who want louder, deeper bass with the lower bass more pronounced, a ported enclosure is what you want. Because of the ported design, the bass will not be as tight and punchy, but there is typically double the bass of a sealed box with the same subs and power. If big bass is what you want, then our ported designs will be what you want.
